Things I have been looking up instead of posting

The fact is, I have been on the internet quite frequently since I've been placed on bedrest. I've found that Dr. Google is an excellent source of information - most of it leading to distress and trauma, but still, information nonetheless. In case you all are interested in information a woman, currently pregnant with twins via IVF looks up on the world wide computer, here is a taste:

Vanishing Twin Syndrome

Ectopic pregnancy

Incompetent Cervix

Placenta previa

Pre-term labor

Nuchal Transclucency

Nuchal cord

Fetal survival rates

Oh yeah, the list can go on and on, but I'll let it go at that. So, for those who think my posting is due to a lack of love, fret not. I do love you. I'm just too busy being mental.

  1. Eek!

I'm told it'll get worse after you have them. Not only will there be a whole new bunch of Things That Can Go Wrong, but you won't even have to Google them. Friends, family, and total strangers will helpfully explain---with tears in their eyes and strain in their voice---how your poor child-rearing decisions are killing your babies...

    Enjoy!

  2. Sheesh... we need to find you the google article that says worrying is bad for the babies. It makes them... wait for it... while I think of it... have a big ugly Gorbachev birthmark! You heard it here first. Don't sweat it.

How about people that won't eat anything when they're pregnant? "Oh, my doctor told me I can't eat meat products or non-meat products." Or our friends who believed they couldn't take their baby out of the house for the first 3 months?
